What is SimpleBehavioral?

Behavioral Health | Mental Health | Finding a Provider

Written by Melanie G. (Customer Care)

Behavioral Health Care connects you with ongoing mental health and substance use care through your health plan. Help is available 24/7, and a licensed clinician will guide you to the right care for your needs.

Here's how it works:

Getting Connected to Care

When you call, you'll speak with a licensed clinician who will:

  • Talk with you about what's going on and what kind of support you need

  • Match you with an in-network provider, program, or facility based on your needs, location, and availability

  • Connect you with other resources if you need them, like EAP or wellness programs

  • Follow up after your care starts to make sure you're getting the help you need

Language support is available.

Think of Behavioral Health as your path to longer-term mental health care.

Types of Care

Depending on your needs and your plan, care may include:

  • Ongoing therapy

  • Psychiatric evaluation and medication management

  • Substance use treatment programs

  • Mental health facility or hospital care

Some types of care may need approval before you start. Your care team will help guide you through this.

Extra Support for Complex Needs

If you're receiving facility-based care or managing a complex or ongoing condition, a case manager may work with you and your providers to coordinate your care and support your recovery.
