Pre-meeting checklist:

  • Good Wifi Connection: Make sure your internet is strong so you can see and hear clearly during the meeting. If it's weak, we might have to reschedule.

  • Be on Time: Try to join the meeting on time. You can log in five minutes early to be ready. If you're more than five minutes late, you will miss the meeting.

  • Don't Drive During the Meeting: It's safer and better to be in one place during the meeting, not driving

  • Get Ready Before: Before the meeting, click on the program you want to start. Answer the questions. Do a practice session or two.

  • Update Your App: Make sure you have the newest version of the SimpleTherapy app on your phone. Sometimes it doesn't update automatically.

FAQs

What to Expect from Your Health Coach Meeting

When you meet your health coach, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Set your communication and coaching preferences

  • Enable your health coach to understand where you are on your journey

  • Establish goals

  • Ensure accountability

  • Receive support and guidance

*Health coaches cannot offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment plans. They will be a partner with you and support you while using our exercise program. The majority of muscle, joint aches, and pains can be addressed with simple exercises. All of our exercises have been approved by Orthopedic Surgeons and Physical Therapists. SimpleTherapy is not meant to be a replacement for the advice of a medical professional. So, if you have any questions or concerns about your current medical condition, I would advise you to consult with your medical professional.

What is a Health Coach and How Does It Work? Is It Required?

Health coaches are equipped with training in motivational interviewing to assist you in setting goals, building confidence, and overcoming barriers. They won't instruct unless requested. Their expertise lies in guiding health behavior change and providing periodic check-ins to ensure accountability for completing SimpleTherapy sessions.

How often do I meet with my health coach?

Although not required, having a health coach is strongly recommended for your success. It's important to discuss your communication preferences with your coach. Communication options include virtual video visits, SMS, and in-app chat. We recommend having weekly check-ins to stay on track for success! You can view your coach’s availability and schedule a meeting anytime by clicking on the care team tab in your SimpleTherapy app.

Will I be exercising during my meeting?

You won't need to exercise during your meeting. SimpleTherapy sessions can be completed at your convenience.

Can my health coach write me an exercise plan?

Read more about how your program is adjusted in our Session Ratings Guide.

*Health coaches are not permitted to write exercise plans and cannot offer medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment plans. They will be a partner with you and support you while using our exercise program. The majority of muscle, joint aches, and pains can be addressed with simple exercises. All of our exercises have been approved by Orthopedic Surgeons and Physical Therapists.

Will you remind me of my visit?

A confirmation text message and email will be sent when scheduling your visit. Additionally, you will receive text reminders 24 hours, 1 hour, and 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.

Do I have to be on camera?

Visiting on camera with your coach can create a more personal experience, so it is recommended. If you prefer not to be on camera and would rather treat this like a phone call, that is okay too. Simply join the call, turn off your video, and keep your microphone on as you would for any other video conference call.

Do I need to provide any documentation from my physician?

No documentation is necessary for a health coaching meeting. If you have received an order for physical therapy or any other information from your physician that you would like to share with your care team, you can submit it by clicking on the “care team” tab and sending a message in your SimpleTherapy app.

How long will my visit last?

Health coaching meetings are scheduled for 15 minutes. They will not go longer than this but may end sooner than the scheduled time.

How do I reschedule?

To reschedule, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the care team tab.

  2. Then, click on the pencil icon next to your visit.

You can also reschedule through the confirmation email that you received when you initially booked the visit. Within that email, look for the phrase “Need to reschedule? Click here.”

If your plans change, please remember to reschedule rather than not showing up without warning. This helps save time for everyone and opens up slots for other members.

*SimpleTherapy® does not offer medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. SimpleTherapy is not a replacement for a physical therapist or doctor. Please consult with your physical therapist or doctor if you have any questions about incorporating the SimpleTherapy sessions into your wellness program.
